d303 Mothers' bread
D303 Mothers' Bread cards were issued in 1916 by the New Orleans branch of the General Baking Company. These cards are identical in design to the E106 American Caramels and the D303 General Baking Co. sets, but they feature an advertisement for Mothers' Bread of New Orleans, LA. on the reverse. Mothers' Bread are so rare they are totally “off the radar” of most collectors. There is no question that they are considerably rarer than the related General Baking or American Caramel issues. |
